Just to clarify things a bit. The clock has three lights. Two of them are yellow LED lights in the "feet" of the clock and are always on. A third light (also a yellow one) is in the "body" of the clock and can be set to "off". As one poster mentioned, you can set this "nightlight" to off or on by adjusting the "OK to wake" time, but YOU CANNOT TURN OFF THE LED LIGHTS IN THE FEET!!! The feet lights are REALLY bright (about as bright as a standard wall nightlight) and cannot be turned off easily (but you can turn them off permanently as I will explain below.) I went ahead and purchased this clock knowing it would be bright because another poster mentioned that you can turn off the LED feet lights by using a screwdriver and some electrical tape and 10 minutes. No, sorry. It is more like 30 minutes to an hour and two screwdrivers, a steady hand, and lots of patience! After much frustration and dropping of tiny screws onto the carpet, I managed to turn those LED suckers off and now it works great! I thought I would share with you my experience so that you will have an easier time of doing the job (and maybe it won't take you as long as it took me. :-)) You will need: - 1 "small" phillips head screwdriver - 1 "tiny" (like for computers or eyeglasses) phillips head screwdriver - Black electrical tape - 1 thumbtack or needle or something sharp I recommend that you do not drink coffee before attempting this because you will need VERY steady hands. Also, use a large table without clutter so that you do not lose the screws. You can also use a towel to place the screws on so that they don't roll off the table. Prepare for this to take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your skill with a screwdriver and working with very tiny things. 1. Turn clock over. 2. Use "small" screwdriver to remove battery compartment screw and place aside. 3. Use "tiny" screwdriver to remove screws from bottom of feet and place aside. 4. Turn clock partially over again and find deep screw holes in the backs of the feet. Remove screws using the "small" screwdriver. 5. Pull white body of clock apart to expose circuit boards in feet. 6. Carefully remove two screws from one circuit board. (Do them one at a time so that you can compare how the first one is put back together by looking at the second one.) 7. Place a small black square of electrical tape over each LED on the front of the boards. (I used two layers to completely shade the light.) The two LED's are labeled in tiny letters and are located on each end of the circuit board. 8. Punch holes (using a thumbtack or needle) in the tape where the circuit board holes are (so that the board will fit back into place over the plastic protuberances that poke through it). 9. Once circuit boards are in place screw them back to the clock and repeat each step above in reverse order. From the other poster's advice on how to turn off the nightlight by adjusting the "Ok to wake" feature: From the American Innovative website FAQ on this product: "I am using the "Ok to wake!" feature. Can I set just the green light to come on in the morning? Yes. If you do not want the yellow light on during the night, you can set just the green light to come on in the morning. The LIGHT ON time will be set to the desired "Ok to wake!" time (i.e. 7am), the LIGHT OFF time is set to the time you want the green light to turn off (i.e. 9am) and the LIGHT change time must be set equal to the OFF time (i.e. 9am). With this set up the green light will come on at 7am and turn off at 9am."

My boyfriend's 4-year-old is still getting used to sleeping in his own "big boy bed." He didn't understand when it was OK to get up. He would come into our bedroom multiple times a night, his dad would tell him to please get back in his big boy bed, and we would sometimes go but not after crying and sometimes throwing a fit (since he was still tired). Plus, he was also always asking his dad what time it was, sometimes 10-20 times a day! He didn't want to wear his own watch and didn't really understand how to read a digital watch anyway. I thought this would be something cool to try. Maybe it would allow us to sleep soundly through the night and help the 4-year-old understand when it was OK to get up. He absolutely loves it. Even though he's still a bit too young to play the game that teaches kids how to tell time on their own, he loves being able to go into his bedroom and push the button to let the clock tell his what time it is. Then he'd come back to us beaming and all proud to report the time to us. It's definitely worth the price. And I think we'll get a whole lot more out of this product in the years to come.

Neat clock with great features to teach analog time in this digital age. A little tricky to set but works if you read directions carefully. My 5 year old daughter got this from Santa and her favorite feature is that she can change the bezel color from blue to yellow to pink. My favorite features are the "toe button" that speaks the time and the time-telling games that come with it - you can start with very basic games (eg. round numbers like 3 o'clock) and then gradually increase difficulty (eg. 3:30, then 3:15, then 3:20, then 3:23). A little pricey but you get a lot of features. Kind of funky and modern-looking. Doesn't take up too much space on the dresser top. Overall a decent value.

This clock is great for toddlers that can't tell time yet. This clock has really been great for getting out two year old to stay in bed in the morning. We've had some problems with the plug for this clock not always working, which has been a bit annoying, but overall we're very happy. I wish you could program the clock to turn green at two different times. Sometimes trying to explain to a 2 year old that when it turns green in the morning they can get out of bed, but at nap time it doesn't can be a little difficult.

I got each of kids one of these clocks and purposely put an alarm on the older child (4) and DID not put one on the younger child (almost 3). For my oldest the alarm is working beautifully! He looks forward to getting up, comes in our room and says the clock is green, it's wake up time. And he love touching the feet to hear what time it is and matching it up with the way the minute hand moves around and around. I think he figured out how to turn off the alarm but thankfully he isn't jumping back in bed. The only problem is that his next move is to wake up his sister (who we don't want to wake up that early) and then come jump in our bed instead of starting with his routine. I rated this product a 5 star because it accomplishes exactly what it told you it would. If they could figure out a way to allow you to record a personal message like "Good Morning, Don't wake your sister up and got immediately to the potty" this would be the best clock ever made. But I guess those last two requests are just my issues...(smile) Definitely get this clock, you'll love it.

Purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter because it seemed like a fun night light and I liked the idea of it being multiple colors and also having a chargable base. Received it right away from Amazon.com and my daughter loved it. However, the light bulb immediately separated from the round base upon opening it, and there was no way to re-insert it securely (kept falling out). It worked fine for a few days, and then after unplugging it from the outlet to clean one day, it suddently wouldn't work (light bulb not connecting w/ base). I emailed the company and after sending them a receipt, they promised to send a new one to us. We are still waiting and it's been at least a few weeks. I should've listened to the other reviewers and saved my money. Hoping that the replacement one works and lasts, but I don't have a lot of confidence in the product.

Our daughter owned an older version of a TykeLight and used it without fail for 2 years. We received three GloMates as gifts. Two of them stopped working after 2 weeks. I received replacements directly from MOBI (after paying for return shipping myself). One of the replacements does not work. No more for us.

I saw this and thought it was so cute and a great idea to address the night light issues I think we all have as parents. I bought this for my 3 year old as a Christmas present and was so excited to get it all charged up for her. Everything seemed to work good for about 6 weeks. The light stopped working after using it and no matter what we did to try to recharge it, nothing worked. So, now I have a "cute" night light that doesn't work and we've had to resort back to using the old stand-by you get at your local hardware store. It's still sits on my daughter's dresser only because I haven't pitched it yet. I'm pretty disappointed in this product and never like to spend money on something that stops working soon after it's purchased. I suppose with all of the other reviews, it's 50-50 whether or not it will work for any given family. I would be very cautious before purchasing this again and if I did purchase it again, I would certainly keep all of the packaging and invoice that came with it for a speedy return should it stop working again. Unfortunately, all of that got thrown out with the rest of the Christmas wrapping paper and boxes. Too bad. I could certainly use that money on something more worthwhile. Bottom line: if you order this, keep the packaging and invoice handy - you may need it sooner than you think.

Cute product that my children loved for a short time, as it stopped working after 5 weeks. It turned off one day and it would not turn on again. The LED in the base kept working, showing it charging or charged, but there was not way to turn it back on again.

We bought two of these, one for each kid. We immediately had one of them replaced twice, because the blue color (the one that fades after 15 minutes) wasn't working. Now after several months of use, the blue light on both of them is broken. If the lights would continue to work, I'd give these 5 stars because my kids absolutely love them.

It was working ok for just a few days. But, suddenly, its motion activating sensor stopped working and now it only works with on-off switch. It was one of the worst shopping experience.

I have to say..this was, and still is a great investment. This so saves so much man hours of installing the real thing, with wires and drilling. The simple thing to this is, you just put in the double batteries need and watch it work. It does exactly as its described. It turns off in 30 seconds and is pretty bright for a small pod. Its only a size of a palm. But it still lights up a pretty big area. Worth every penny and I strongly recommend!!

One LED did not work in just one of the four units. The remainder worked just fine. Nice and bright.

I have some night blindness and a very long and dark hallway. Bought one and it was great but still not enough so purchased two more. I installed them on the wall about 8 feet apart, 8 inches from the ceiling. High enough that the dog doesn't set them off when she walks by. They are fantastic! Well made and they work great! No more stumbling in the dark! Even after a month I still have yet to change the batteries, bright as ever.

The motion sensor stopped working after 3 minutes. Received this product on 5th Feb 2010, put in the batteries, and switched to auto mode (motion sensor). The light came on for about 30 seconds then went off. Moved myself in front of the sensor, the light came on again for 30 secs. Repeated it once more and it worked. But after that the motion sensor stopped detecting any motion and refused to light up. Can only use the product as a torchlight now by switching to ON mode. These cheap products from China have disappointed me many times before, so beware.

I have already worn out this CD and I've only had it for 2 weeks! I love ALL the songs, which is awesome!

Gary Taylor is a mainstay to RnB. I heard his music back about 4 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. He consistently puts out great CDs not just a few songs here and there. Under the Nighlight is no exception. I wanted to add this to my "Gary Taylor" collection and it was a good decision. If you like artists like The Isley Brothers, Luther Vandross, etc. You have been missing out. Gary Taylor should be in your music collection!

GT does it again! I've been searching for this CD for along time, forgot about it and just discovered it recently while music surfing on this site. You've gotta make the investment if you like sensual soul filled ballads with amazing vocals and rhythm. Make the purchase; you won't be sorry! If you can, buy all of Gary's CD's...such an overlooked talent, but those who are in the know are fully aware of what a musical gem he really is!

If you like laidback, relaxing, smooth, mellow music - he's your man and this is your next cd. LOVE IT!! On the same lines as Will Downing.

You're lounging under a straw hut on white sand, with a cold tropical drink in one hand a very special person lying next to you, holding the other. A warm breeze blows softly and off in the distance the sun is setting into the horizon and the blue tropical water is shimmering like diamonds in the sky...and if that isn't enough...Gary Taylor's "Under the Nightlight" is playing in the background. This is a page right out of the book of my life..and there is no way it would have been complete without Mr. Taylor; the Minister of Mellow! This CD (as well as all his others) will complete or compliment any evening, cuddling session, adult gathering or Quiet Storm. I can never understand how folks have a favorite song by this gifted man. I for one can never pick apart his CDs song by song because they are a perfect complete project from beginning to end. I promise, you will enjoy this man's sexy, sultry, sizzling, tasty tenor! It just floors me that more people don't know about him. Here we are in 2005 and people still ask me, who is that singing...like he's a New Jack, or something. I always tell them, the man has got roots, he goes back to when I was in high school and that was more than a minute ago..lol! If this is your first review on Mr. Taylor, do yourself a favor and dive in...buy all of his music, you won't be sorry and your collection will have increased by leaps and bounds, where quality music is concerned.

Nightlight is one of my favorite cd's by Second Chapter. These songs are definitely more in the 'synthy' age (1980's and early 1990's), but they are better than any other music of that time including secular and Christian music! Love this cd- I'm sure you will too.

If you are a good old days junkie like me, this is excellent to add to your collection of Christian Classics!

I had been to four 2nd Chapter of Acts concerts; three between '78 and '80, and one in '87, promoting "Far Away Places" and their two hymn projects (at the end of their group-recording and touring days). When Buck Herring (the group's producer and husband of principal writer and group member Annie Herring) was mentioning their other projects, he mentioned "Night Light", and said he had feedback that this project had a special anointing. (They also did "That's Not Nice To Say" from this project.) After hearing "Night Light" I would not say it was more anointed than "In The Volume Of The Book" or "Rejoice", but it on the short list of their best. My favorites on this project include "Night Light", "Heartstrings", "He Will Rule", "He's The Light", "What To Do With My Heart", and "Jesus Will Be Right Back".

If you like contemporary Christian music and if the main thing you're looking for is that the singers sincerely and genuinely want to glorify God, then you'll like anything 2nd Chapter of Acts does. This was my favorite album by them at one time, but I can't pick a favorite from them. I love all they've done and hope the Lord will lead them to get back together to make a few more albums. Many of us miss them although Annie and Matthew do solo stuff. If you like C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," then you must get 2nd Chapter's "The Roar of Love." It *should* have been the soundtrack for the latest movie. This was an unfortunate oversight on the part of the director and producer. 2nd Chapter's music will motivate you to love Jesus more.

I enjoyed this movie when I first saw it on LMN, I thought I would buy it so I could share it with my husband on Thursday night which is movie night.

This DVD has never been available officially in the US but was released on DVD in Canada as the movie was a Canadian production. The DVD offers a crisp fullscreen transfer, english and french audio and it ends there... While barebones, it is the only region 1 version out there and is a great addition for any "Shannen Doherty" collection.

Ordered this to use as a bathroom night light. Brighter then I expected. Impressed enough that I ordered three more (for guest bath / kitchen / work shop). You probably would not want this in your bedroom. A peculiar looking little guy but nothing a night light lens can't take care of. IMO: It would be best to use a receptacle that stays on all the time. Pure white light as you would expect an LED to be.

This product is much brighter and light is more uniform than Feit Electric BPC7/LED http://www.amazon.com/Feit-Electric-BPC7-LED-Candelabra/dp/B000LWI8RE/ref=pd_cp_hi_1.

This strange, weird looking night light lamp replacement is almost as brights as the filament type. My wife bought 4 night lights and in about a matter of weeks all the bulbs have given up the ghost, so, I ended up looking for a replacement. I am a sucker for anythings LEDs. I have flashlights, lanterns, toys, booklights, puck lights and even a plastic glass that looks like a milk of glass. The best part of LEDs is that it gives off almost no heat. The incandescent lamps, not only is dangerous for the little kids, but it is also a fire hazard. The lamp has 5 LEDs all in all. 1 inside covered by an opaque lens, and 4 around the circumference of the lamp. The color is not the ghoulish blue that is typical of the old cheap LEDs. At least they are honest to say that their LEDs will last only 20,000 hours, most will claim 100,000 hours. I only have this for a few days; so, let's see how would it perform in the long run. As of now, I don't see anything wrong with it. Update (2-25-2010): I really like it that we ordered another one.

I bought these to replace the light bulbs on my bench grinder which go out every other week from the vibration. They don't burn out, but are no where near as bright than the 7W incandescent bulbs they replaced. I also tried the Feit LEd bulbs and they are even less bright than these. I brought them inside for the night lights.

I bought two of the C. Crane LED light bulb, one to replace the energy-draining and dim nightlight bulb. The second one to replace my burnt-out Maytag Neptune front-loading washer door light and this is where it shines (literally). I like to keep my washer door open all the time to keep the moisture out and prevent mold from forming on my washer's door seal. The problem is the original door light burnt out quickly, not to mention burning a hole in my wallet because of all the energy it consumes (10W x 24 hour x 30 days = 7.2KW /month ~ $1/moth in electricity) In comparison this LED light bulb uses less than 1W (less than 10% of the old bulb), is as bright as the old bulb and cost the same as if I have purchased a replacement OEM Maytag bulb ($5), yet it used 10% of the energy = saving 90-cent a month or $11 a year. It is really a no brainer! The same goes for the other LED bulb I replaced on my nightlight. After 6 months, both LED bulbs are still working perfectly and just as bright as Day 1.

OK to Wake! Children's Alarm Clock and Nightlight OK to Wake! Children's Alarm Clock and Nightlight

This product has worked out well for us. Durability is a bit of an issue, as my dd likes to 'play' with it and carry it around. Every time she drops it (which is often - she's two) we have to reset it entirely. She also figured out pretty quickly how to open the 'hidden' compartment and "press the buttons" - causing additional reset issues. The "stay in bed till the clock glows green" has been a mixed bag for us. She *says* she knows what to do, but doesn't always comply. I think this is more an issue of a head-strong daughter than an issue with the product! Overall I recommend this to anyone looking for a solution to a child who gets up too early. I yet to find anything that works better!

My daughter wanted it for my grandaughter. She reports that it's working great and my 3 year old grandaughter knows when it's green, it's time to wake up!

This light-up alarm clock has been absolutely wonderful for our family! Our 2-year-old was waking up anytime between 4:30 and 5:30 AM and not going back to sleep. This lighted alarm clock is what finally helped him learn to stay in bed until a reasonable hour (initially 6:00 AM, now 6:15, and hopefully 6:30 soon). Now rather than hearing "Up! Up!" at 5:00 AM, we often hear nothing until 6:15 or 6:30 when he proudly tells us, "Bug light on!" (We are using the bug-shaped face plate, so we call this his "bug light.") And if he does wake up before the light goes on, he will usually settle quickly when I tell him the light isn't on yet and that he needs to go back to sleep until it goes on. So far we've used this only in winter, so the illumination on the clock has been plenty bright -- I don't know how it will work in summer; we may need to get blackout curtains then in any case. Our toddler is used to sleeping in the dark, so I didn't want to get a clock that was too bright or stayed on all night. We just started using the nap timer feature this week, and I like that, too. This clock has been worth every penny we spent, and then some!

We bought this for our 3 year old, to replace her "regular" alarm clock with something a little more fun. We were disappointed as soon as we put the batteries in to find out the numbers only light up when the button is pressed, and then only for 30 seconds. What's the point of a clock if you can't see the time? Also the green glow that happens when it's "okay to wake" is quite dim. If it wasn't such a hassle to return, we would have sent it right back for something else. Cute idea, but needs some work.

I was SO excited about this product. My son understands color so I knew he would understand that when it turns green it's okay to come out of your room. Well, you can't even tell it's green unless your in a REALLY dark room. So it does me no good!

I like this product very much, however only 3 out of the 5 that I recieved are still working, they have a limited lifetime warranty so I will be sending 2 back to the manufacturer for replacements. Even so, I would buy again because it is a great product, but it is a sad fact that their quality control is terrible, at least for the batch of nightlights I bought, (40% failure rate in the 1st week). Like most small electronics these days, they are not made in this country, however that is no longer a good excuse for poor quality control.

VERY GOOD! WE USE IT FOR THE HALLWAY,IT WORKS! I DONT LIKE GE,BUT, IT WORKS GREAT,VERY BRIGHT!!

They work BUT you need to unplug them every morning - no off or on switch They will stay on even when its light...""Most"" of the Time If they didn't stay on during light hours ..the off and on button wouldn't be needed

I use this night light in my bathroom and it is perfect - it's bright enough that I don't have to turn the light on after sundown unless I'm doing something that involves needing REALLY bright lighting like showering, painting my nails or doing my eyebrows. What's great is that it turns on with motion and when it's dark so it's not wasting energy when you're not in the room. It's attractive, lightweight and a great little light! I would recommend using in a bathroom, hallway, kitchen or bedroom at night - somewhere where you need light only when you're in that area. I would definitely recommend - it's great! I purchased a second one from Walmart because it was a few bucks cheaper!

this is a great night light and stay lit brightly and for a great amt of time

Love these humidifiers. They work so well... yes they are hot, so teach your children to stay away, put up high, don't buy one of the dumb hot animal shaped ones that will entice the kid. Show the child it is hot... w/o burning them let them feel the heat... they will get the picture... This one doesn' spew mold and viruses into the air and get a disgusting coating on the filter like cold mist humidifiers do... Who cleans those as often as rquired? They get dirty FAST...

I've been using this for past couple months. No issues whatsoever, keeps the room very moist. Perhaps too moist, condensation coming off the windows and forming molds on window sills. If you are very conscious about your electricity bill, please skip this unit at all cost! Using a P3 kill-a-watt and this vaporizer is using average about 830 watts per hour. About three times as much as my living room computer + 42" LCD TV. BE AWARE!

This thing is awesome. it's $19 plus tax at walgreens (the 1.5 gallon version) so this price ($17 on amazon) is a good buy. we bought ours at walgreens b/c it was 10pm at night and we needed it desperately. the night light is perfect (not super bright) it's a dim green glow. ...and the vaporizer pours steam out. the more salt you put in, the more steam pours out. (it says to put in "5 pinches of salt"). that's what I did & it worked great. if you don't put enough salt in, it won't make steam. (you know, b/c salt lowers the boiling point of water) When it's full, this vaporizer will last exactly 9 hours going full steam (no pun intended). That's really the only drawback. 9 hours is good for an adult, but kids can sleep up to 12 hours at a time. it'd be nice if it were a 2 gallon vaporizer. ANyhow, after 9 hours, it stops making steam, but the night light stays on & when you wake up you just unplug it & empty the remaining water (it never goes dry b/c that would be a fire hazard I think). I rinse it out & it's good to go for next time. This is what got my daughter to stop coughing and sleep through the night. oh! and I used it with vics vapo steam. Vapo steam instructions say to use 10 tablespoons. that makes the room overpowering. (we're in an average large bedroom). I used half. 5 tablespoons of vics vaposteam in the 1.5 gallon vaporizor filled to the max with water worked perfectly. PERFECTLY. not overpowering & it did the trick. besides, vaposteam is expensive ($9 plus tax at walgreens) 10 tablespoons is almost half the container. So since I like 5 tablespoons, that's going to be four uses out of each container of vaposteam. $10 every 4 nights. that's going to get expensive. Anyhow, it worked great!

I read some of the reviews that rated this product one or two stars because of low steam output. These comments confused me as this is not a complex device - a container of water with two electrodes suspended in that water. No moving parts. lol As we know, pure water does not conduct electricity. Sure enough, the instructions call for 4-5 pinches of salt to operate in average water areas. No salt added would result in little or no steam... too much salt would possibly cause sputtering and spitting. The comment about the electrodes not being a available for cleaning do not cause me concern as the Warm Steam has "Exclusive non-rust carbon electrodes.... require less frequent cleaning." (Also, it appears that there are two small screws holding the top on the immersed cylinder containing the electrodes.) One comment I would make is that the Model 150SG claims to have a "Protective Steam Guard design that lowers the outlet steam temperature by about 20%. Actually this guard is a row of plastic strips that prevents getting your fingers within about an inch or inch and a half of the steam outlet. I placed my hand on those strips and it felt just as hot as my old vaporizer did with no such "Guard." It would be much smarter to keep this vaporizer out of reach of any children because a sever burn is indeed possible. I think the $17.03 price a Amazon is likely competitive, however as I am a retired Navy Submariner I found it for $9.85 at an Army PX. I rated this five stars, however I'm sure that such a simple device can be shopped for based on water capacity, price, and other factors such as stability and ease of cleaning. For some, the nightlight might be useful so as to allow avoiding touching the vaporizer in the dark.

If it is a vaproizer you need then this is not the product for you . I am still puzzeled as to actually what the purpose of this machine is. I am also very puzzeled as to how anyone could rate this item beyond one star and that is being generous. As one other reviewer has stated , the steam output on this item is about as low as the steam drifting from a hot cup of coffee. This is so even when the machine is fully warmed up. The steam is very light to begin with and simply and very lightly drifts from the machine. If you recall the days a quality products, vaporizers during that time actually blew their steam out in volume and with pressure. This model produces very little steam to begin with and that which it does produce may actually reach a one foot area around the machine. If one was to seal themseleves in an old blanket chest or steamer trunk with this vaporizer you might get some benefit but even them I doubt it. Save your money, this product is substandard even with the proper mineral content in the water.

Nice clock. Too bad it stopped working after one fall off the nightstand. Two month life, it was good while it lasted.

This is a great little clock! The illuminated display has 2 brightness levels, when the sensor switch is turned on, and darkness is detected, the face illuminates at a level that is comfortable for sleeping. When the light button is pressed the display brightens to a higher illumination. I would recommend this clock. Update: After going on 2 trips with this clock, it has stopped keeping time. Amazon is rushing me out a replacement, and I am going to give this clock another shot because I really like the size and readability at night.

Just what I wanted. easy to use. Nightlight was just right. Alarm worked great. One downside was the ticking was a little louder than expected.

Great little alarm clock, and I like the feature that lets you turn the power off to save the batteries when not in use. Compact and reliable in my experience. The only little thing I wish was different, is that to get the dial to glow, you have to press a button. Wish it was glowing in the dark all the time.

This is a great little travel clock. It's easy to use. Has a sliding cover; and a 'just bright enough back lighting' to see the face of the clock in the dark when the sensor is in the 'on' position.

We love our Toolis! 1) They're cute. 2) The light lasts a long time after charging. 3) They're so simple to use my kids can use them all by themselves. 4) They stay cool to the touch. 5) They give just the right amount of light - you can find the bathroom, but they don't keep you awake -- and it's a nice gentle blue/green light, too. 6) Most importantly, my kids finally sleep without the hall light on! We did drop one once and it stopped working -- but we just unscrewed the bottom and popped the battery assembly back into place and it's good as new.

I use these as night lights for my 2 year old twin boys and they love them. When it's bed time I tell them "lets go nite nite and get your lights" and they race to their room. No more fussing about bed time; at least for now. :) They sit right on the base charging and last all night and more so the boys can have them in their cribs and have a friend to play with. They are a cute design too!

We got these for our toddler's bathroom. We followed the directions and for 6 months we got 11-12 hours out of them each night. About a month ago, we noticed the blue one would go out after about 8 hours, since it is our favorite, we changed out the battery botttoms. That lasted a couple of days until the blue one didn't last as long anymore. Now, we put them out so our toddler goes to sleep, then recharge them for a while and we are lucky if they last until we wake her, most mornings she wakes us to tell us the nightlights went out. So, now they are still cool, but just a bit annoying and requires more attention.

I love these night lights. I can put them in my daughter's room and not worry if she picks it up as it does not get warm. It puts off a sufficient amount of light at bedtime. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a toddler.

I have purchased 3 sets of these and love them. The first set was used for my son in his room as a night light which he loved and the cool alien look was perfect. The second set was a great baby gift which I have gotten wonderful reviews from. The third set I purchased for a guest bedroom so that our guests could find their way in the dark to the bathroom or wherever they needed to go. Our guests usually giggle when I first show them but in the morning I have always received a thank you followed by what a great and easy to use product they are since they don't have to look for a button or switch to turn them on. Just grab and go. My last two guests purchased a set for themselves as soon as they returned home. All my sets have worked perfectly and the first set I bought a year ago and use nightly is still going strong.

I bought this for my daughter's first birthday...although too young to fully appreciate it, she loves looking up at the ceiling at night and seeing all the pretty stars....it's become part of her going to sleep routine to look at the stars as I change the colors...she really loves this and I'm sure will be more into identifying the constellations once she is old enough to talk and figure this stuff out...for now, I can barely identify the constellations...but who cares, this is a really neat toy! Get one...

Bought this for my 4 yr old for CHRISTmas b/c she is afraid of the dark and to sleep in her room. She absolutely LOVES this light. It changes colors from red, white, or green. It displays many stars and a moon on the ceiling. Very durable as well. It took a fall off the top bunkbed her first night, and stopped a beat. It is very bright, but not enough to keep your child awake at night. Would highly recommend this for all children who are scared of the dark or needs a nite lite. I am going to buy one for my 18 month old as well.

Highly recommend this product~ It is soft enough to hold, remains cool to touch and is very lightweight. My kids love these! We have this and a turtle one.

This is a great sleep aid for a 5 year old as it turns itself off after 30 minutes or so. This feature, together with the low-draw LED lights result in long battery life. After three months it's holding up well, too.

Nightlight: A Parody Nightlight: A Parody

Reviews

I originally was never going to read any of the Twilight parodies due to the fact that sometimes parodies can be horrible. But that all changed on one flight when I decided that I needed a new book and picked this one up. Once I started reading I could not put it down. The whole flight I spent reading this book and was finished by time I landed home. The story is about Belle Goose who moves to Switchblade, Oregon. Sure she's pale and a klutz but she also thinks very highly of herself. Meaning that she thinks everyone wants to be her friend, every guy loves her, ect. Thinking that she's found the one, the one being a vampire, Belle starts to basically dream up scenarios that Edwart is a vampire, that he sneaks into her room at night while she sleeps, ect. Thinking that she's found the one, Belle basically does the opposite of what Edward does in Twilight, she stalks him. Nightlight has enough humor in it to be entertaining but there is something off about it that I can't explain. Normally when you have parodies it's all about making the original, whatever it may be, look bad but still in good fun, depending on how you look at it. But with Nightlight there's all humor and not all of it making sense at times, it will keep you hooked through out the book though. I guess you could say that the characters were relatable but I'm still not sure. With this book I have mixed feelings about it. And when I have mixed feelings it makes it hard for me to write a decent review for a book. Hopefully this makes a thread of sense.

Like the book it parodies, this book would have been much better if it were several hundred pages shorter. While there were definitely laugh out loud moments (Bella's unique self absorption without self knowledge is spot on) it eventually grew tedious. Perhaps rather than a weak point, this simply makes this book the absolute perfect parody. Best value for your money would be if there were a Cliff Notes available for both books. Then you could breeze through the abbreviated original so that you could revel in the abbreviated parody.

If there is one thing that I immediately noticed about Nightlight, it's that it is not at all like Twilight. The story, while sharing its structure with the popular romance novel, is still a gread read on its own. The most clever aspect of this parody is that it reads as if it was written by the story's protagonist, so you really feel as if you're in her twisted and ridiculous head. Speaking of ridiculous, the characters in this book are as ridiculous as they come, and their interactions are simply brilliant. Some of my favorite scenes are the date at Buca Di Beppo and the climax of the novel, which takes place at a vampire prom. This read is definitly worth the price. Just be sure to read it alone or people will think you're crazy when you start cracking up.

This title popped out at me from the shelf at my local Barnes and Noble. With glance of the cover I knew that a parody meant it would probably make fun of the original title. Now let me explain. I am a huge non fan of the Twilight Saga so I figured this book would be like crack for me. I read the first chapter in a dimly lit movie theater while waiting for a popular movie to start. I was in stitches and almost didn't want to put it down for the movie. I felt like ths book was written for me because when I was reading Twilight I would stop and think about what Bella was saying and doing. I was very frustrated with Bella Swan as a heroin. Belle Goose's thoughts and lines were often thoughts in my own head while reading Twilight and at times made me cry out in hysterics. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone. Twilight fan or not.

"Nightlight" was the complete opposite of "Twilight". Edwart was an unpopular nerd and Belle was a self-engrossed masochistic shallow girl. Which, thinking about it, may have been true in "Twilight", too....but I digress. "Nightlight" took all of "Twilight"'s flaws and emphasized them and twisted them into a funny, kind of stupid novel. Stupid in an entertaining kind of way. A few of the parts were funny, but for the most part it was kind of a dumb book. I kept picturing it as a movie, and placing it in the category of, say, all the "Scary Movie" films. It left out quite a bit of the "Twilight" story, too, such as Jacob, for example. But it does allude to Jacob and his family with Jim's (Charlie's) "wheelchair friend" and there's even a paragraph about how they skipped over most of the story for comedic sake. Edwart's family was much smaller-- only parents, no siblings, and the only other "vampire" was a "real" vampire that showed up at the end and didn't do much. Whether or not you're a fan of "Twilight", I doubt this book will change your opinion about the series. It was a quick scribbling from someone trying to make some money off the franchise. As much as I liked it, I feel like it didn't really do justice to a "parody" and that the author just wrote a quick something and sent it off to the publisher.

Goodnight Moon Board Book & Nightlight Goodnight Moon Board Book & Nightlight

Reviews

I love the book, but the plastic nightlight that came with it went in the trash almost immediately after it came out of the box. Just get the board book and don't clutter your house with the plastic.

It is perfect!! It was just what I was looking for. Thank you so much! When I was pregnant, the first gift I got was Goodnight Moon with bunny. My son from 3 months on needed to hold it and turn the pages after we read it to him. When my son was about 10 months old, he started chewing instead of just looking and destroyed the book. I went to 3 different bookstores trying to find the book, but they all had the new version with the seal in the corner. I started searching Amazon, but they too only had the seal version. I saw the book with the nightlight, but I thought he wouldn't like the nightlight since he's just used to the hall light. Since it had been 3 months since we read Goodnight Moon, I ordered it anyway. The look on his face was worth the extra for the nightlight! He got this big smile and squealed with delight. He also does like the nightlight. Thank you Amazon for giving my son his "old" Goodnight Moon back!!

Having 42 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren and being an advocate for reading, reading, reading I believe this book is the greatest for children to hear as first words from parents (well, first words after "I love you, darling.") I have testimonials of positive results from grandchildren of the effect the reading of this book has on even infants.

I bought this is a gift for a new mommy--My children LOVED this story and I can still hear it in my dreams!!!!!!

I love the night light. It's just enough light to avoid stubbing a toe. Love the book too.

Timex Women's Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch #T5K026 Timex Women's Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch #T5K026

I've been very impressed with this watch. The features are everything I need for my everyday life, and some I have come to not be able to live without! I use the stopwatch all the time, from the kitchen to my art studio to the kitchen. The hourly chime is nice and clear and helps me keep track of time during long, busy work days, although my husband says it is at a frequency that sounds like it rings in his nerves (though not unpleasantly, just that it feels "weird")... The hourly chime does seem to be louder than the alarm, although I have had no problem waking up to it. The alarm is a more charming chime tune, rather than the old style "beep-beep-beep" of my old watch, so it is definitely nicer to wake up to. The ability to be able to set multiple alarms is nice, I now have one set repeating for weekdays, another time for weekends and a third one for odd times too. The countdown timer is useful in both my work and sports, as well as helping me to not go too overboard on the internet! Multiple time zones are a big plus for me, and likely for any traveler, and/or person who has family in a different time zone. Style wise, I think the watch is big enough to be clear, visible and practical looking, whilst being not overly clunky, especially on a small wrist. The strap doesn't get all sweaty, and molded to the shape of my wrist quickly, making it even more comfortable. Overall, the watch is nice enough for me to wear to work, both in the studio and office, as well as on the sports field, training grounds, gym, and wherever else my weekends in the outdoors get me. I did note that the watch band was not as pristine white as it is in the photo, but very slightly more creamy-grey off-white. I still rate this watch 5 stars for being absolutely awesome. Great value for $. Oh, and the Indiglo feature is wicked cool!

Loved this watch but after only 5 months of wear (worn everyday) the band is coming off.

I've had quite a few of these over the years -- they are reasonably priced and, when they don't get water-logged, they work well. I like their size (not too big or clunky for my slender wrist), and the functions are pretty intuitive. I have found some of them leak, particularly at high altitude (such as Lake Tahoe area), so I've returned a couple and thrown out a couple. Also, over time and in the chlorine, the bands start to turn greyish/greenish and the color scrapes off the watch a bit -- not show stoppers but a bummer. Still, I recommend this watch and will likely replace my current one with the same because it's still the best I've found for the price.

I've had several Ironman Triathalon watches over the years as they've always performed well and water resistance is great as long as you're on the original battery (once case is opened to replace battery, water resistance is reduced). Having a smaller frame, I love the sleeker look to this model...it doesn't look nearly as bulky or as masculine as prior versions. Set up and navigation through the various modes is easy.

This watch has more than served it's intended purpose. It's sleek, feminine design allows for a comfortable fit and the neutral color is great for being inconspicuous with dressier clothes during the day. It's an all-purpose product, which makes it great to me! I highly recommend this watch!

Sylvania 3 in 1 LED Light, Nightlight, Rechargeable Flashlight, Power Failure Back-up Light Sylvania 3 in 1 LED Light, Nightlight, Rechargeable Flashlight, Power Failure Back-up Light

I purchased 3 of these (3pack) and am quite disappointed with the product(s). Of the 3 one will not charge as an emergency flashlight but can be used as a night light, another fails to turn off when there is adequate background light. The night light is far to bright and the fixture when in place prevents using the second outlet port. Maybe I'm spoiled by the nightlight that I purchased over 10 years ago that worked until quite recently. I certainly would not buy them again as there seem to be far better choices for about the same price..

This is a great light. However, one would expect the battery to last more than 1 year. These are glued together so that you must destroy them to open them. I want one with replaceable parts.

My local Bartells was having a sale on these items a while back so I picked up one to play around with. This light was impressive, so I automatically went back and bought one for each room in my apartment. The light emitted by the LED's are very pure-white, which I personally enjoy over the yellower glow of incandescent lights. The sensor is not merely an on/off type, but rather adapts to the light condition. As it gets darker, the light slowly gets brighter, until it is pitch black, and the light is on its brightest setting, which while still dim, provides more than adequate light to maneuver around a room without having to turn on the lights. At night when you're bleary-eyed, it's nice to be able to see around you without blinding yourself with a brighter light. The prongs fold neatly into the body of the light to let you comfortably hold the light. As we're wont to blow the fuse box (mine is an old apartment), and my girlfriend refuses to let me leave my flashlight collection strewn across the apartment, it's nice to have the lights set on 'Auto', so I can still make my way around. The lights last several hours, and can turn off, which means in a prolonged emergency you won't be alone, at least for the few hours they last, or until you find something better to light your way. Four stars only because I would like a way to use the 'lamp' part of the flashlight as an option, and not only the 'flashlight' part. Also, the body is fairly fat, and a space hog so you'll have to expand your sockets with one of those 2-to-6 expanders. My apartment is effectively a terrible fire hazard, but ehhh.

I use this mainly as an emergency beacon/flashlight when my power goes out to get my bearings. Then use as emergency flashlight to find my real flashlights and light candles. For that purpose, it works great. As a nightlight, it's a little bright for a room you would sleep in (or in a place in your direct sight in a living room while you watch tv). The flashlight itself is average for a led flashlight with this many Led's. You can get around safely, but you're not going to have enough light to do anything major. Never tested the ultimate longevity of the battery (again, I use it to go find the real flashlights), but it's lasted several hours and still works fine after being attached to my wall socket for a year.

I bought a few multi-packs of these lights for use all over my house. I have them in the bathrooms and in the hallways throughout the house. The area in which I live is prone to power outages. So, these lights really shine during those periods and for a long time as well. They are also nice as night lights by supplying a good amount of light without using a ton of electricity being that they are LED's. Another cool feature is that whenever I need a flashlight, I can usually find one nearby. Just pull it out of the socket and you are good to go. If you need a good night light that functions during a power outage as well, look no further. This is the one!

Average Rating:

These Sylvania 3 in 1 LED Lights are a must have for any home. You just simply cannot have too many of these plugged in around the house or garage.

Love the watch and the color. I wear it for runs and running around doing errands. The only problem I've found is that it doesn't lay flat. I don't like that it lays on its buttons.

I have used Timex Ironman watches for as long as I can remember. I love the mechanics - the timers, the interval timers, the stopwatch feature, the multiple alarms, the water resistance. That part is awesome. The last two that I bought were of this design with the fancy band. They look great when you buy them, but they DO NOT last! On the first one I bought, the band came apart from the watch part the day we were leaving for vacation. Out of desperation, I superglued it together which in turn superglued the buttons on the side rendering them useless. The one I replaced it with started seperating from the band within the first 6 months. Yesterday, I found the faceplate on the carpet. It just fell off. On both bands, which were blue and pink respectively, the color faded and showed the gray base color through. On my previous ironmans, the watches lasted forever and the band finally gave away after 5-7 years. If you do not expect these watches to last more than one year, then you should be ok. I completely recommend the Timex Ironman brand for both men and women. These are terrific watches for runners, especially if you are doing multiple intervals of different lengths (ie: 5 min/2 min intervals). I use the timer every night when I put my children to bed (and also when they need time outs). I use the multiple alarms to remind me to pick them up from activities. If you want satisfaction though, I recommend getting the thicker (somewhat uglier for women) band. I have seen velcro straps that you can buy to replace the band on those watches, but I'm not sure how they would work if you are in water a lot. I am in the medical field and need something that doesn't hold water as I am washing my hands often. That reminds me, these watches also perform well in water whether you are swimming, waterskiing, or playing at a waterpark. I've never had a problem with their water resistance.

Love this watch! Light weight, easy to use and to keep track of your time/mile. I never run w/o it.

I was looking for a reasonably-priced Timex to be able to set intervals for jogging. this one is perfect.

Size/scale & functionality are great.I'm a runner who chooses her shoes based on comfort & function, never color or style. I was surprised by the pink/lavender presence of this watch, though--straps looked kind of grey in the photo, but it is most definitely lavender. Still, I need the watch and am delighted with every other aspect of it, so I'll put up with a Barbie look for a while here!
