I have been looking for a large clock with style and presence. This beautiful clock definitly has both! I'm very picky about what goes on my walls. It has to be something I really enjoy looking at every day. I know I'll enjoy this one for a very long time!

The clock is attractive and from a distance appears as it does in the picture on Amazon. But, it was poorly packed for shipping without any packaging material to protect the fragile metal flowers/leaves welded together around the face of the clock. The shipping carton arrived with a small tear in it, but I didn't think much of that because fragile items usually have extra protection inside the cartons. But, I was wrong, so a few of the flowers/leaves were bent or broken. To avoid spending the time/money of exchanging the clock, I managed to tweak the damaged parts into place, and only I know where they are now! In general, I'm very disappointed because I feel like I have a yardsale quality clock. But hopefully, after this review, shipping/packaging methods on this item will improve.

I purchased this clock for my Mother's birthday. She keeps calling me a fibber because she doesn't believe me when I tell her how little I paid for it. This clock is a wall centerpiece and looks quite expensive. It is just beautiful. I'm not certain that this is made of true wrought iron, but it is some type of metal. The metal is lightweight and the face cover is plastic. This doesn't detract from the looks in the least. I doubt many walls could hold up the weight if it were true iron and a glass face. I also like that it is battery-powered, so no long cords dangling down the wall to ruin the look of it. Would definitely consider giving this clock as a gift again. It is so much nicer than anything I could find in any of the stores locally.

I was amazed at this clock as soon as I saw it. It's one of those things that is basically a luxury, but you've got to have it anyway. In my case, I not only like the detailing and scroll work, but am thrilled that it just happens to match my Royal Palace rug in my living room. It also has a fleur-de-lis pattern. So, this clock will tie everything together, especially when I use fleur-de-lis holdbacks for my drapes. It is just the right size for my living room wall, which was totally bare without this clock. There's no problem with the clock's accuracy, either, once batteries are installed. If you like wrought iron and this particular French pattern, you will definitely LOVE this clock!!!

I recieved this clock at a wedding shower a couple of weeks ago. Absolutly beautiful. This picture does not do it justice. With the wall color showing thru behind it and the slight shadows that are cased on the wall in the evening hours adding a little drama, it is truely a treasure.

This light was very bright, the brightest of any flashlight I have ever had. If the dogs were barking in the middle of the night, this maglite made it easy to see what they were barking at. After a couple of years the light started getting dimmer (I didn't use it that much). I got my new batteries out to replace them but the old batteries were stuck. I guess they had swollen and burst. They were Engerizer D batteries. Apparently this it not an uncommon problem and Maglite will replace the flashlight when this happens but only if the batteries are Duracell, Eveready or Ray-O-Vac so I am out of luck. Be sure to only use those brands.

I don't care to have flashlights with a bunch of bells and whistles, and this is the kind of flashlight that meets my criteria. Pros: Clicky, recessed side mounted switch, it's either on or off... no blinking, spinning, whizzing, flashing, or dimming modes. Simple "twist to focus" head (which frankly I wouldn't care if it didn't have) Hefty LED based (my *favorite* kind of flashlight) Bright but not blinding (if you are behind it... looking into it is a different story) Cons: None that I can see Other observations: If you focus it to its tightest beam, the beam is very much like what you would expect from a conventional incandescent bulb. However, if you twist it away from there, it quickly develops a dark disk in the center with a bright halo. I struggle to understand why one would want this, but it doesn't really matter since I just leave it focused as tightly as it can be and it suits me fine. It's big, but that's partly why I bought it. You'll NEVER lose this down the couch or car seat. Just a nice, solid, large flashlight.

I purchased my first MagLite flashlight well over 20 years ago. I was so impressed with the quality, I purchased a number of them in different sizes from keychain AAA to 4-D cell. Not surprisingly, I still have them all and most of them still look much the same as they did when purchased. Only one of them has ever been a problem - after a family member left it turned on and in a drawer for over a year. The batteries literally swelled and froze into the aluminum, pitting and eating into it to become a part of it. The rest of the flashlight still looked new. I had to take a large bit and drill the two C batteries out of that one. It took some time to clean it so new batteries would work it again, but it's been back in service now for ten years. I've even seen one of the 4-D cell models run over by numerous 18-wheel trucks with loads just over 80,000 lbs. A friend spotted that one, saw it still worked, and placed it in his truck for his own use. The anodized black finish was worn off, but that flashlight served him for over fifteen years until he passed away. I'm sure one of his family members is still using it. My original 4-D flashlight quickly became a favorite of mine for shooting raccoons and possums out of the trees on my property during their nightly raids to my chicken coop. The only drawback was the bulb would blow if the flashlght was dropped, and the bulbs only lasted for about five hours use before needing replacement. That meant bulb replacement was about every year or two. Batteries lasted about six months to a year in my use before they needed replacing. Many years ago, I switched from the standard bulb to the Xenon and realized some increased battery life and a stronger beam - even slightly improved bulb life. So, when it was time again for a new bulb, I noticed the LED 3 Watt module offered the brightness of a Halogen bulb and DOUBLES battery life. I also had read LEDs were not subject to blow if the flashlite is dropped, and they have a lifespan far into the thousands of hours. Since I wanted a second large flashlight and the improved LED performance. I purchased the MagLite 3 Watt LED module and this new MagLite ST4D016. For the differences I found in Halogen brightness, and beam performance compared to the MagLIte LED, read [Amazon review] "Xenon or LED? Here's Your Answer In How They Stack Up Against Each Other". After using this flashlight going on two months, I can safely now say the light remains stronger than a Xenon Halogen after hours of use - and as bright as if the batteries were still brand new. The MagLite ST4D016 4-D LED flashlight is definitely a "keeper" that will please anyone. *Note* My new ST4D016 also contained the same bulb module I purchased for my older MagLite.

What more can I say. It's bright, it's red and it has an on/off button. It works just fine for me and my needs. I would recommend this to anyone. It was cheap and works better than most flashlights 3 or 4 times the cost.

i bought this for my husband as one of his xmas presents and he totally loves it. we've been needing a real flashlight forever (we had been using cell phones and mini led keyring lights whenever he did work in the attic, etc.) it's super bright and big and i bought it specifically so it could double as a weapon since my husband worries about break ins and i don't want him buying a gun. perfect for all it's intended uses.
