I will never place an order with this company again. They shipped out the wrong item. When I called customer service they were friendly but not great on following up. They recalled the coat rack promptly but failed to give an estimate on when the lamp would arrive and had no tracking information. The lamp finally arrived 3-4 weeks after placing the order. It arrived in a partially opened dammaged box without the original packing slip.

This is a very nice stand. It is made from wood, not plastic like some other stands. I don't know what kind of wood it is, maybe elm. It also has a nice design carved on the side. I don't know if it is hand carved but it probably is because there are a lot of people in China and the government needs to keep them busy working so instead of buying a machine to do the carving they have people do the carving to keep them busy so they don't revolt. Plus, it's probably fun for them because they can see their friends and talk while they carve. Then go out to lunch together and have a Tsingtao beer. You can make a great shrimp dish with Tsingtao beer. Here's the recipe: 1 cup Tsingtao Beer ½ cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic 4 whole star anise cloves 1 pound large raw shrimp, deveined in shell Combine beer, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic and star anise in saucepan. Swirl pan to dissolve sugar. Add shrimp and stir to mix. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cover pan and remove from heat; let steep 2 minutes. Serve warm shrimp in bowls placed on a round black carved stand. Enjoy!

The golf lamp we purchased is really cool. Unfortunately, after a few months of use, there must've been some electrical malfunction, because the lamp no longer works. It can't be turned on and the lightbulb doesn't even function when pluegged in. A true bummer, because it's always a conversation piece when someone walks into the room!
