Woods 13568 Indoor 3-Outlet Wireless Remote Converter Kit Woods 13568 Indoor 3-Outlet Wireless Remote Converter Kit

Reviews

Works great in our split level home. That is until the #1 channel on the remote quit working 29 days in. Returned/replaced and it works great with the new remote. Will update after a few weeks if it goes out again.

Took the remote out of the package, removed the plastic from the supplied (and installed) battery & reinstalled it, plugged one of the outlets in and my floor lamp into that, pushed ON button 1 and the lamp lit. Pushed OFF button 1 and the lamp went out. Tried it from several places around the house. it works as described.

The 3-Outlet Wireless Remote Converter Kit performs remarkly well. I like the convenience of using it and I recommend the converters to anyone. The only drawback is the size of the converters. You are not able to plug in anything else in the outlet, even though it is a double outlet.

Remote controls work great. I can control several fans and other electrical equipment from behind my bar and not have to go across the room and have to turn off different pieces of equipment. They are easy to operate and set up. A quick and easy fix and better than a clap on clap off type device.

These handy little plugs are fantastic! I've been able to use them indoor/outdoor and the remotes work great through floor and both interior and exterior walls. I'm not sure if there were ever instructions; if there were, I must have thrown them away. I say this because I was confused as to which remote buttons corresponded to which outlet. There are (3) on/off buttons & (3) receptacles... so I assumed that each of the receptacles was on a slightly different frequency and were pre-programmed to work with one of the buttons... NOT SO! It is actually kind of cool how flexable they are. When you plug one of the receptacles in, the red light on it will blink until you press one of the (3) "ON" buttons. Once the receptacle recieves a signal from one of the "ON" buttons, it programs to that specific number. So you can have one on each of the buttons, or if you'd like, you could have 2 on 1 and just leave one of them open. I'm guessing you could get multiple packs of these and string 5-10+ outlets and just need one remote if you program them as such...pretty cool! I used these for xmas this year to control the lights outside and i'm using them for baby monitor equipment now...I can't tell you how handy it is to have these around! One of my best purchases of the year!

3 pack of indoor remote controls. Individual outlets are easily controlled by 1 handheld remote. On Off push buttons control lamps, fans, holiday lights, and more. Great for holiday decorations.

We are using this on all the coffee makers in our building to shut off the heaters at night and weekends. The manual override allows for use if needed during off hours. Woods 59377 Digital 7-Day Lamp/Appliance Timer with 2 Outlets, Up to 8 On/Off Settings per day and Battery Back Up The setup options are great. We used the M-F as we are only occupied 7am to 5pm M-F. This shuts of the water heaters in the coffee makes and any burners that are on. We used to burn up a pot or two every month.

Very nice features for the price. Unfortunately, I lost the directions and now don't know how to delete a program once it has been set other than by resetting everything. No manufacturer's support on the web that I could find. A minor complaint and my own fault, really. I'm saving a lot of money with this thing since it is powering a fountain with lights, and I save not only for the electricity but also for distilled water for the fountain, which the thing was consuming at a rate of a half gallon a day when it ran for 24 hours a day. Now it runs only during the day when we're at home, which is at different times depending on the day of the week. Hence the multiple program feature comes in handy.

Product works great. Have had no issues with it. It looks complicated but it's actually easy to set up and use.

Everything you could possibly want in an indoor timer. The Good Battery backup. This is a must have for digital timers. 8 on/off settings 7 day timer Multiple grounded outlets. Outlets come out the side allowing for a slim profile. The Bad Screen is difficult to read at an angle. Fortunately you can unplug the timer while you program it. Manual button is a little confusing until you figure it out. It cycles through Manual On, Auto On, Manual Off, Auto Off.

This timer is feature packed heavy duty timer at a reasonable price. The instructions are very vague--luckily I read the reviews and figured out how to get the timer into auto mode. The unit has to be plugged into the wall for a several minutes to charge battery before program. There are more settings than I can use. 8 per day or 56 per week. The setting choices are Daily, M T W T F S S (everyday), M T W T F, S S, M W F, or T T S(at). There are 2 grounded (or Nema 15R) outlets, one on each side (not 3 as some claim). The timer switch contacts are rated 15A or 1875 Watt tungsten/incandescent/lighting or Resistive/Appliance. This is the total load on both outlets--most other timers are rated much lower even with a grounded outlet. As for using an extension cord, I am using this unit with an extension cord. It is not recommended because too many people buy the cheapest cord they can which can cause a fire. If you need to plug the unit into an extension cord, then this is the way to calculate the rating of the cord. This unit's contacts are rated at 15 Amp @ 125 Volts AC which equals 1875 Watts. Multiply 1875 Watts by 1.25 which equals 2344 Watts divided by 125 Volts is 18.75 Amps. So you will need a extra heavy duty grounded appliance cord rated for at least 18.75 Amps and 2344 Watts AC. These are usually expensive because they are at least 10 AWG or 8 AWG conductor cords depending on the length (longer the cord bigger the conductor wire has to be to have the same rating--it has to do with physics and resistance of the wire). Smaller the AWG number the bigger the conductor wire a 6 AWG is bigger than 8 AWG which is bigger than 10 AWG. Be careful some extension cords from China and other countries have had "wrong ratings" on the label or card. So if there is a expensive cord with the rating needed and a "light weight" cord with the "same rating" but much cheaper--buy the expensive one!! Its not worth burning down your house or apartment! Personally, if I needed an extension cord, it would be a maximum of 5 feet long and rated for at least 20 Amps. Use the above calculation and recommendation at your own risk. I know how to buy the correct extension cord. Ask lots of questions. If the guy at the store says, "No way dude, you just need a 15 Amp rated cord"...don't walk RUN AWAY!!

The King's Singers Original Debut Recording The King's Singers Original Debut Recording

Reviews

I really enjoy this CD. Admittedly, I think that their later CDs were of higher quality. They don't have quite the same precision and musical expression then as now. Regardless, it's a good CD. I have been listening to the King's Singers since I can remember. To me, this is a historic recording of what may be my favorite group. As an aside, I think that the 20th Anniversary Celebration Sampler may be one of the best CDs they have ever released. I also love their recordings of British folksongs. Admittedly, I've only listened to 10-15 of their ~100 releases...

I am a real fan of the King's Singers, and this album was very well received. I loved it. Recommend it to anyone.

We have loved this album for 30 years. We are so pleased it has been released on CD. It was originally part of a very small collection of gramophone records, and is now one of hundreds of CDs, but it is one we keep playing and playing. The singing is flawless, the songs are wonderful and the arrangements are very clever. What more could you want?It includes The Kings' Singers theme song, "What Kind of Things (do the Kings' Singers sing?)" which is a humorous description of the variety in their music and in their vocal ranges.Other highlights are:Summertime, which is quite close to the orignal sheet music, carefully arranged for 6 voices. The folk song Scarborough Fair adheres quite closely to the Simon and Garfunkel arrangement, whereas The Oak and the Ash and Blow Away the Morning Dew are special creations for the group by Gordon Langford.Time Was and The Green Leaves of Summer show the group's ability to create a wonderful mood through slow, soulful singing.Highly recommended. Timeless music.

In the thirty or more years that the King's Singers have been going, they've released dozens of CDs. And as much as I adore some of their recent recordings, I still regard this first album as some of their best work. This performance is both of a very high quality and is also a magnificent showcase of the variety of things the King's Singers sing. I doubt you would find many other recordings which contain works by Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Bacharach as well as traditional folksongs from the British Isles and America - especially not recordings that are of such a high standard. The vocal harmonies are just delicious, and the Gordon Langford Trio also provides a brilliant accompaniment and gives songs like The Peanut Vendor, Shenandoah and Summertime a delightful relaxed feeling. Then there is also the lighthearted and whimsical What Kind of Things - a song all about what sort of music the King's Singers sing! I was going to give this CD four stars rather than five (mainly because I hesitate to give top marks to anything ever - I know, I'm picky), but in the end I honestly couldn't think of anything which would justify taking a star away. It's worth all five!

As the line in the opening track, "The Peanut Vendor", says: "Fifty million monkeys can't be wrong." And back in 1971, the purchasers of this debut LP (originally The King's Singers: By Appointment) found overwhelming proof in its vinyl grooves that a refreshingly new quality product was on the market...

Dawson: Negro Folk Symphony; Ellington: Suite From the Dawson: Negro Folk Symphony; Ellington: Suite From the "River," "Solitude"

Reviews

We just heard the River at the Silicon Valley Symphony, it was wonderful. Tom O

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is at its best here. On this album, they pay tribute to William Levi Dawson and Duke Ellington, with great, intelligent compositions and performances. The "Negro Folk Symphony" is a deep, ear-pleasing performance with great horn work and the strings sound great. However, one of my favorites is Duke Ellington's "The River Suite". I, myself have played this piece and it is just as much fun to play as it is to listen to. My personal favorite movements are "Meander", "Giggling Rapids" and "Vortex". The whole piece is extremely soulful and still well-written. A definite favorite of mine, and it segways into a great performance of another one of Ellington's greatest pieces, "Solitude". However, the real show stopper here is "Harlem", originally written for trumpeter Cootie Williams. This features William Lucas and Walter White, two of the best all-around trumpet players today. They effortlessly extend into the stratosphere and play beautifully through this challenging arrangement. As the review from the critic says, "Talk about musicians knowing their chops!"Fans of orchestral music and big band music will enjoy this one equally. The DSO is constantly blurring the line between the two styles and this particular outing works wonderfully. It's great to hear an album like this.

Neeme Järvi, ever the expert architect, has over the years fashioned the Detroit Symphony into a world-class orchestra. Here, they take on two important African American composers, Duke Ellington and William Levi Dawson, whose music only works if the conductor and orchestra know what they're doing...

Bell & Howell® Sunlight Lamp Bell & Howell® Sunlight Lamp

The Bell and Howell Sunlight Floor Lamp was made difficult to assemble by a missing necessary screw and the absence of any parts list describing the size of the screw. An e-mail inquiry has produced no response from Bell and Howell. --Robert L. Gilliat

We have two other B&H Sunlight lamps and love the great light they provide. One is a desk lamp next to our computer and is indispensable. We also love our other floor lamp. Perfect for any hand work, knitting or crochet, and for reading, too.

I REALLY LIKE THIS LAMP AND IT LIGHTWEIGHT SO CAN BE EASILY MOVED IF I WANT IT IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION

We had a table top version of this lamp for several years and replaced it with a floor model which has great flexibility and serves a larger area of the room.

I bought 2 of these and they still work great 3 years later! I love the bright light and flexible adjusting neck. Long lasting and bright lights that keep the winter blues away!

These bulbs are rated at 10000 hours of life, but over the past 9 years we have gone through 3 bulbs and have averaged only 450-500 hours for each one. It would be one thing if the bulbs only cost $6-8 dollars each. But $30 + postage??? We now have more into the bulbs then we do the lamp itself..............

White Metal Floor Lamp with Pink Gingham Lampshade White Metal Floor Lamp with Pink Gingham Lampshade

I ordered this white metal floor lamp to go in my daughter's nursery. The color is more antique white than white. Fortunately this is the color I was hoping for. It is a very nice lamp but, the harp was missing. There is a place for it in the packaging material but, it was not in the box. I think we can get a replacement harp for cheap at Target or Walmart. Overall I'm happy with the lamp.

purschased for my granddaughter and it came fast. easy to assemble and put the finishing touch to her room. thanks for another great deal
